Originally from Haverhill, Massachusetts, Meghan Hollingsworth brings over a decade of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for swimming to Commonwealth Swimming North. A collegiate swimmer at Springfield College, Meg began her coaching career with SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina, before returning to Massachusetts to serve as the Lead Junior Coach at New Wave Swim Club in Lowell.
In 2014, Meg joined SOLO Aquatics and became the program’s owner the following year. Under her leadership, SOLO grew into a nationally recognized program, earning USA Swimming Silver Medal Club status. Throughout her career, she has guided athletes to success at every level — from local age group championships to Sectionals, Futures, Junior Nationals, and the U.S. Olympic Trials.
In recognition of her impact on the sport, Meg was named the New England Swimming Dorsi Reynolds Coach of the Year in 2020. Most recently, in 2025, she was selected to serve as Head Coach for the USA Swimming Central/Western Zone Select Camp.
Meg’s coaching philosophy centers around goal setting, consistent effort, and fostering a love for the sport. She believes that long-term success comes from balancing hard work and enjoyment — helping each athlete reach their potential both in and out of the pool.
Ian Rowe
Associate Head Coach, Site Lead - Haverhill

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Ian Rowe brings a wealth of competitive and coaching experience to Commonwealth Swimming North. A standout swimmer and captain at Florida State University, Ian earned NCAA All-American honors and achieved a top-50 world ranking in the 1500m freestyle. He also represented Team USA at international competitions in 2006 and 2007.
Ian began his coaching career at Florida State, working with both the collegiate team and Club Nole. He went on to spend seven years at the Nation’s Capital Swim Club in Washington, D.C., where he served as Associate Head Coach at the American University site. During his tenure, Ian coached athletes to the highest levels of the sport — including placing a swimmer on both the U.S. National Junior and Senior Teams, who would go on to qualify for the 2021 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Recognized for his contributions to age group swimming, Ian was a finalist for the ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year in 2017 and a featured presenter at the ASCA World Clinic. He was also named to the U.S. National Team coaching staff in both 2018 and 2019.
Since 2022, Ian has led the Haverhill site of Commonwealth Swimming North, working primarily with the program’s Senior and Elite athletes. He is passionate about guiding swimmers through every stage of development and believes in creating a high-performance environment built on trust, consistency, and a love for the sport.
Chelsea Foley

Coach Chelsea has been part of our coaching staff since 2016, bringing decades of experience in both competitive swimming and water safety. She began swimming competitively at age 8 and continued through college, complemented by over 20 years as an ocean lifeguard.
Chelsea specializes in working with younger swimmers who are ready to build on foundational skills and take the next step in their swimming journey. Her daily practices reflect her extensive coaching background, emphasizing skill development, water safety, and confidence-building in a fun, supportive environment.
Known for her compassionate and individualized approach, Coach Chelsea tailors each workout to meet the needs of every swimmer—providing just the right level of challenge to help them grow both in and out of the water.

Ryan Hogan swam for SOLO Aquatics for 14 years before continuing his collegiate career at the University of Louisville. He began coaching with SOLO during high school and later coached with Cardinal Aquatics. Ryan returned to Commonwealth Swimming North to contribute to the program that inspired his passion for the sport and shaped his swimming career.

Reagan recently graduated from Bryant University, where she competed for the Bulldogs and was a multi-year America East Champion in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. A proud alum of SOLO Aquatics, Reagan was a Junior National qualifier and a member of nationally ranked relays. Having experienced what it takes to compete at the highest level, she brings that knowledge and passion to her coaching. Reagan has a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of how small adjustments can lead to big improvements in performance.

Jess brings over 20 years of competitive swimming experience and eight years as a swim parent to her coaching at Commonwealth Swimming North. She leads our Intro and Age Group swimmers with a focus on developing strong technique, teamwork, and a love for the sport. Based in Dover, Jess brings energy and enthusiasm to every practice and is dedicated to helping young athletes grow both in and out of the pool.

Harrison Hollingsworth

Harrison Hollingsworth serves as the Head Coach of Commonwealth Swimming North, formerly SOLO Aquatics. He has been a member of the program’s coaching staff for the past 10 years, bringing dedication, leadership, and a proven record of athlete development to every level of the team.
Harrison began his tenure in 2015 as the Head Age Group Coach before moving into the role of Associate Head Coach from 2017 to 2022, where he directed the Exeter site and served as the National Team Director. Under his guidance, athletes have achieved success at every level of competition, qualifying for Sectionals, Futures, Junior Nationals, National Championships, the U.S. Open, and the USA Olympic Trials. Most recently, Harrison coached an athlete who earned a position on Team USA at the World Junior Championships.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of goal setting and the commitment to working hard each day in pursuit of those goals. This approach has consistently produced results, helping athletes develop both in and out of the pool while striving toward excellence at the highest levels of the sport.

Paul swam for Central Catholic High School and went on to graduate from Boston College. After many years as a teacher, he found his true passion in coaching and joined SOLO Aquatics in 2006.
Over the years, Paul has been instrumental in developing both SOLO Aquatics and now Commonwealth Swimming, working alongside the Hollingsworths to help shape the program’s success. As Associate Head Coach and Lead Coach of the Dover site, he has guided countless athletes—from developing swimmers to national-level competitors—with dedication and expertise.
Paul has also served on staff for several USA Swimming Select Camps and currently acts as Commonwealth North’s Director of Meets and Competitions.
Sean Glasheen

A lifelong swimmer and dedicated coach, Sean Glasheen brings both passion and experience to Commonwealth Swimming North. He competed for eight years, swimming at Lowell High School and Saint Michael’s College, where he developed a strong foundation in both the sport and team leadership.
Since 2018, Sean has coached at several high schools throughout the Merrimack Valley, helping student-athletes grow both in and out of the pool. He joined Commonwealth Swimming in 2021 and has been an integral part of the coaching staff, supporting swimmers across various training groups.
Sean is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment where athletes of all levels can thrive. His coaching philosophy emphasizes consistent effort, teamwork, and building confidence through skill development and personal growth.

Gina Trombly

Gina began swimming and diving in middle school and continued through Haverhill High School before diving for Northeastern University, where she also served as team manager. She later coached with Boston Area Diving under Joe Chirico, gaining valuable experience at the competitive level. Gina joined the Haverhill High School Girls Swim & Dive Team as an assistant coach in 2021 and began coaching with Solo Aquatics in 2022. She now works with athletes from SwimFit to Senior Elite, helping them build confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport.
Natalie Gould

Natalie Gould brings over 30 years of experience as a swim instructor and more than a decade as a competitive coach. She began her swimming career at the Biddeford YMCA and continues to stay active in the sport as a member of Great Bay Masters. Natalie specializes in stroke refinement and technical development for Junior swimmers and is passionate about helping athletes build confidence and develop a lifelong love for the sport.
Dan Reilly

Dan graduated from Boston University with a degree in Human Physiology and is an ASCA Level 4 coach. He began his coaching career at the South Shore YMCA and went on to serve as Head Coach at the Andover YMCA for 12 years. With experience coaching athletes of all ages and levels—from beginners to Masters swimmers—Dan has guided multiple YMCA National champions, New England champions, and record holders.

Mary Ellen Tynan brings extensive experience in swim team operations and USA Swimming leadership to Commonwealth Swimming North. She has held key roles including Executive Director of Maine Swimming, Secretary for New England Swimming, and Chair of the USA Swimming LSC Development Committee. Mary Ellen currently oversees team registration and administration for both Commonwealth Swimming North and Central, applying her expertise to support athletes, coaches, and families in the sport.
